This premium quality publication is beautifully produced and richly illustrated, this is more than a magazine — it’s a celebration of Harthill with Woodall and her neighbouring village's heritage and a heartfelt invitation to protect what makes our villages so special.

The Harthill Heritage Magazine is written and compiled by local historian Paul Rowland, who for over forty years has walked the fields studying the landscape, poured over old maps, uncovered remarkable archaeology here and listened to the memories of the people of Harthill with Woodall and the surrounding villages. He now shares those discoveries in a beautiful new magazine published four times a year (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter).

The magazine combines serious local research with engaging storytelling, stunning photography, old maps, and a genuine sense of community pride and belonging and a desire to protect our villages and the countryside from disappearing under ever encroaching urban and industrial developments.

Issue one uncovered the fascinating discovery of a 4,500 year old Bronze Age burial in the village; Harthill's Domesday origins including 18th-century maps; Ancient longbow traditions; Harthill's Roman Road; Watermill disputes, crime and punishment and living village memories.

Issue two covered Thorpe Salvin and Todwick's TOP SECRET role in WW2.

Issue 3 is dedicated to the history of Kiveton Park, including its most famous son, Herbert Chapman the pre-war manager of Arsenal Football Club.
